Network Health Appoints Director of Provider Marketing and Member Communication

(Medford, Mass.) — Network Health announced today the promotion of Laura Wood to director, provider marketing and member communications. In her new position, Wood will oversee provider marketing and communications, member communications, and creative services. Within this role, Wood is responsible for all marketing and mass communication efforts associated with provider acquisition, retention, and satisfaction; for leading strategies and execution of marketing and communication campaigns to improve service to and engagement with the plan’s health care providers and members; and for providing leadership to the plan’s e-business adoption strategies.

“Laura brings 15 years of private sector marketing experience, as well as a strong knowledge of Network Health,” said Debbie Gordon, senior director, marketing for Network Health. “Laura’s rapid grasp of Network Health’s operations and the issues affecting our members and providers, coupled with her strategic marketing expertise, perfectly position her to lead efforts to maintain strong partnerships with our key stakeholders through communications.”

Wood previously served as manager, provider marketing for Network Health. Prior to joining Network Health, Wood served as the director of marketing for Fahrney’s Pens, Inc., where she oversaw all marketing and creative service activities, as well as messaging and media choices for direct mail, and Internet and retail outlets, resulting in consistent sales growth.

Wood earned a Master of Business Administration with a marketing concentration from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia.
