Specialty pharmacy program
What is a specialty pharmacy?
A specialty pharmacy supplies you with specific drugs, such as injectable and intravenous (IV) drugs, often used to treat chronic conditions like Hepatitis C or multiple sclerosis. These types of drugs need additional expertise and support. Specialty pharmacies have knowledge in these areas, and can give extra support to you and your health care providers.
Who is Caremark?
Caremark is our specialty pharmacy which can provide you with these types of drugs if you need them. In addition to providing specialty drugs, Caremark will:
- Deliver to your home, provider’s office, or any delivery address you choose (except for a P.O. box)
- Answer your questions and offer assistance
- Give you information, materials, and ongoing support to help you manage your health condition and take your drugs the right way
- Have pharmacists on staff who can help you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, available by calling 800-237-2767
