Medical assistants now also eligible to apply fluoride varnish
MassHealth recently revised its regulations to allow medical assistants under the supervision of a physician to apply fluoride varnish to Network Health Together® (MassHealth) members younger than 21. Medical assistants, along with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses, may qualify to apply fluoride varnish by completing one of the following MassHealth-approved online training programs:
